Ghorepani Trekking
Overview
This is one of the most famous trekking areas in Nepal. To reach to Annapurna Region either you can fly or drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Pokhara is the gate way to Annapurna region. City of Pokhara offers many natural and attractive places to visit. Fewlake with the shadow of Machhapuchre (Fishtail) mountain, Begnas tal (lake). Mahendra Cave, Sharangkot for sunrise and sunset view and others place are the attraction of Pokhara. There are rarely a few places in the world with such a splendid variety of natural beauty as that of Annapurna region. It is a rare combination of long arrays of snow capped mountains, crystal clear lakes, turbulent rivers with deep gorges, Buddhist monasteries, home of famous Gorkha soldiers and other friendly ethnic groups, as well as hot springs and beautiful villages.
Detail Itinerary
Day 01 : Drive west to Pokhara (200Km. / 8 hours) by bus or fly to Pokhara 35 minutes & camp by Lakeside or transfer to the Hotel in Pokhara.
Day 02 : Drive to new bridge 1½ hours and commence trek to Ulleri (2073m.) – 5½.
Day 03 : Climb up to Ghorepani (2855m) through the rhododendron forest – 6 hours.
Day 04 : In the early morning ascent to Poonhill (3200m) – 45 minutes for the beautiful sun rise and majestic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. After breakfast proceed to Tadapani (2700m) – 6 hours.
Day 05 : Tadapani – Ghandruk (1950m) – 2½ hours and visit ACAP Head quarter, Gurung culture museum
Day 06 : Ghandruk – Pothana (1800m) – 7 hours.
Day 07 : Pothana – Dhampus Phedi (1100m) – 3 hours & drive to Pokhara – 45 minutes.
